The kings and queens of gravity hit Fort William, Scotland, for the first round of the UCI Downhill World Cup next week - and there’s a Red Bull video up to kick-start the countdown.

The action takes place on 8-9 June and will set the scene for the rest of the six series event.

Expected to line up in the men's race is defending Downhill World Cup winner Aaron Gwin (Specialized) and last year’s runner up Greg Minnaar (Santa Cruz Syndicate). But will they be fast enough to beat UK’s Danny Hart (Giant Factory Off Road) who’s already won on the course this year?

In the women's event, last year’s series winner Rachel Atherton (GT Factory Racing) missed the opportunity to test herself on the course during the British Downhill Series earlier this month but has been working hard to regain condition before the series starts.

Sit back, watch the video here and prepare for the action to begin.
