A huge 60 percent discount is being offered on entry for teams of four or more to children’s charity Action Medical Research’s flagship London to Paris bike ride.

Using the code L2PTEAM at the checkput, the usual £99 per person sign-up fee has been knocked down to just £40. Running from 18-22 July, the event is designed to coincide with the finale of the Tour de France, with riders arriving in the French capital the day before the professionals.

There are four 300-mile routes to choose from, including two brand new for 2012 which take four days to complete; a women-only route, and a trek open to all which passes through the Normandy countryside. Also available is a faster three-day option starting on 19 July for those up to the challenge or simply short on time.

Last year’s event raised over £800,000 for research into conditions affecting babies and children, including meningitis, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and premature birth. If you have yet to register but are curious about the event, an open day the Royal Overseas League in London on Saturday 3 March that will help you make a decision. And if that doesn't, this promo video of the event below just might.
