Video: Atherton Project series 2, episode 3

The team race in Rheola, plus Sea Otter downhill and dual slalom action

The Atherton Project, a web video series from renowned mountain bike film producer Clay Porter, follows the famous siblings as they compete in the 2010 UCI World Cup and World Championships.

In this third episode, Gee, Dan and Rachel are gearing up for the first UK National of the year in Rheola, South Wales. It’s Rachel’s first major race in the UK after a year out due to injury, and the team’s spirits are lifted.

Dan says: “It was amazing. It was the first time that all three of us had been back on the bike, not injured, racing together.” The team do pretty well, too (apart from a dodgy Welsh accent from Rachel).

Then it’s on to Monterey, California for the Sea Otter Classic, where Dan and Rachel compete in the downhill and dual slalom. There's a good crash from Rachel. The Athertons will be racing at this year's BikeRadar Live at Brands Hatch on 10-11 July. See how they got on:
