American Rabobank-Giant rider Adam Craig is well regarded as one of the most technically adept riders on the cross-country circuit – and now you can get a firsthand look at the challenging Pietermaritzburg Mountain Bike World Cup course along with running commentary from Craig himself.
We fitted Craig with GoPro cameras front and rear (sadly, the rear footage wasn’t nearly as usable) and asked him to provide BikeRadar readers with his thoughts on each section of the course. Many of you might be surprised by the footage. While the common thinking is that cross-country riders merely pedal up giant mountains on smooth dirt tracks, you’ll quickly see that the course here in South Africa is impressively demanding.
