Zipp Speed Weaponry, known primarily for its carbon wheels under riders from Team CSC and Team Garmin-Chipotle, is introducing 32 completely redesigned carbon drop bars, the SL, SLC2 and Contour SL models.

According to Zipp, its new SL is the lightest and stiffest handlebar to pass the EFBe Laboratory’s top performance racing standard. Weight is 165 grams. The SL comes in different bends and drop dimensions. Drops: EB (ergo bend) (90 reach, 150 drop); TB (traditional bend) (87.5 reach, 130 drop), SS (short shallow) (84.5 reach, 128 drop). Price is US$350.

For the bar twisters in the peloton, the SLC2 is designed to be massively stiff and capable of handling serious torque; 60 percent of this bar has a 31.8mm diameter. According to Zipp, It’s the perfect bar for massive sprinters or mounting Zipp VukaClips aerobar extensions. Weight is 185 grams. Drops: EB (90 reach, 150 drop); TB (87.5 reach, 130 drop), SS (84.5 reach, 128 drop). Price is US$300.

The airfoil top of the Contour SL bars is not just aerodynamic but it also makes it the most comfortable bar Zipp has ever designed, acording to Zipp. Weight is 185 grams. Drops: TB (87.5 reach, 130 drop), SS (84.5 reach, 128 drop). Price is US$275.

All bars are available in 40, 42, 44, or 46 cm (outside-to-outside) and a 31.8mm clamp diameter.
