The best way to carry the most gear the furthest on your back

Superbly comfortable on the bike, well thought out and constructed, this 26-litre pack is ideal for mountain biking, long commutes and fast day rides.

The Wingnut Adventure Pack’s long harness positions the weight low down on your back, and the two big wing pockets and waist strap distribute your stuff around your lower back. It’s a bit like a huge bum bag and it’s superbly comfortable.

The Wingnut has its origins in adventure racing and it’s a very different beast from most cycling backpacks. It looks a lot like a regular rucksack but putting it on it becomes obvious that it’s unique.

You can access the two wing pockets easily when riding, and there’s a waist- strap-mounted pouch for your phone or camera.

The sail cloth construction is lightweight but very waterproof, with good quality sealed zips.

The whole thing feels well thought out and constructed. Not cheap, but a very nice bag for longer rides, on or off road.
