A quick and durable cover for the dirtiest part of the bike

When you're not riding, a greasy chain is a quick way to spoil a car's interior or a good piece of clothing. The Chain Johnny from White Lightning is a simple slip-over cover for your chainrings, chain and derailleur to keep them covered while you're transporting or storing a bike.

Made with a rip-stop, water resistant nylon, it’s suitable for use both inside and out. We tested the Chain Johnny on road and mountain bikes and found it fit either without problems.

The Chain Johnny could spell the end for accidental grease marks, for anyone who has to carry their bike in a car or who live in an apartment and don't have outdoor bike storage. For long-term storage and roof rack use, the Chain Johnny defends against the worst elements – but be careful because water can still seep inside and cause corrosion if it's left unattended too long.

It’s designed to have the right pedal in an upright position out of the cover. At times, this proved a hassle because putting the bike in the car would push the cranks into the wrong position and pull on the cover. Sadly, there is no way around this and careful placing of the bike is the only answer.
