Lezyne Power Pack hydration pack review
Lezyne make some well thought out, practical kit and although the Power Pack falls short in several places, it’s still worth a look for its unique features.
There’s a place for everything in this pack and it’s surprisingly roomy, but we found access to the main compartments was hindered by the helmet cradle/compression web, which does an effective job of keeping everything in place.
The footprint is wide and best suited to broader riders – and at a kilo, it’s not light. The deep waist belt works in conjunction with the yoked harness to keep the pack stable, but we found that the extra bulk required to make it fully removable caused chaing.
The quibbles we had with our pre- production test sample have been answered by Lezyne, who have replaced broken zips with tougher versions, made both compartment zippers double-ended and the helmet cradle anchor point D-rings larger, so access should be easier on the production version.
