Decent light but GoPro style mount is a floppy fail

Madison’s Electron brand has always pushed more interesting designs than most budget focused firms, and the new F-650 light is no exception – though this has advantages and disadvantages.

This distinctive broad, flat bargain option uses twin LEDs in its metal front end. One of them stays on all the time while the other toggles through off, flash or constant modes via a switch on the back. At full power this gives a broad, but relatively weak, flood right across in front of the wheel for last minute danger dodging, then a separate centre punch with good mid fill for spotting trouble or turns further away.

Battery life is great for the size and main switch colour change indicates remaining run time. The plastic GoPro camera style mount is uselessly floppy, however hard you hand tighten it though. That means it's only worth getting if you've already got a K-Edge or similarly secure GoPro mount that you can clamp it into more firmly.
