Exposure's latest range sets a new benchmark in practical lighting performance

Exposure‘s latest Toro gets all the UK innovator’s latest tweaks to create a properly techy light. The most obvious new feature is a strip screen rear display that provides constant run time, power setting and recharge feedback.

Three LEDs give a relatively tight focus beam with excellent reach and mid range detail but there’s enough spill around the edges for peripheral context or picking up potholes just in front of the wheel.

There’s certainly enough power for any road situation, and we’ve used it on night-time cyclocross missions across the moors with no problem too.

Run time is OK in default settings but there are no less than 10 programmable two- or three-power level menus to extend its’ energy.

The whole back of the light acts as a button for super easy mode changes too – just be careful you don’t accidentally turn it on as you put it into its storage case between rides. Smart Port Technology enables you to plug in extra batteries, back lights, remote switches or even recharge other USB devices.

The metal clamp gives solid security with a quick release metal shoe for convenience, but it only fits round bars. This level of smart technology inevitably means a high price though.
