Our review
A compromise on the battery but a great light for less than a hundred quid

We're loving all the minimal offerings this year and the Gator, with its weeny housing and simple secure fixing should definitely be up there when they're handing out the beauty pagent prizes.

The slender Ni-Mh battery has a solid elastic snap mounting system, but the curly cable that connects the two is an insult to its otherwise clean lines. But we won't moan too much because the relative power and light quality at this price point is superb. The trade-off is the Ni-Mh battery, which is bigger and takes longer to charge than Li-Ion batteries, but if you're on a budget and want the reach and power of more expensive lights, it's a compromise you might be happy to make.
