A reliable but underpowered old soldier

The latest Seca lights weren’t ready for our test, which leaves this reliable but underpowered old soldier on the front line. The six-LED unit is reasonably light, the rubber strap mount is secure enough to stay put on steps and the fat collared connectors are waterproof. The compact battery fits securely and the light comes with a helmet mount and extension.

The beam is very broad and coverage extends right down to your front wheel for slow-speed sections. Reach isn’t great though and the contrast of the sharp upper edge can tire your eyes quickly. The curved lens also proved very prone to scratches, but reliability is great otherwise.
