The Seca 2000 Enduro from Light & Motion has an exceptionally well-balanced beam, but it’s hugely expensive and low on ‘in-flight’ information.
By using six LEDs in two rows, with diffuser glass over the lower three, it gives a broad lower-powered peripheral from bar end to bar end and right down to the wheel, then lots of saturation and really good reach in the centre. The simple fat-hook and strap mount keeps it stable on head or bar, and the diving-quality connectors on the really long cable plug together and seal with a proper ‘pfft’.
Run time is good but the tall rubber-ended hard-case battery can be hard to fit and the three power settings are interrupted by a wavy flash setting. There’s no life indicator until the ‘last gasp’ warning, which is disappointing for a premium-priced light.
