Our review
At this price it's never going to be a powerhouse, but does what you'd expect it to well

As the name suggests, MTB Batteries started by supplying high-quality replacement batteries for other lights, but this cheap own-brand unit has some neat features if you’re skint.

The Lumen800 uses a tiny single LED head unit with a relatively focused beam that combines a usable amount of light just ahead of the bike with some peripheral. It’s secured with a luminous O-ring mount that’s a godsend if it falls off in the car park after a ride, and a helmet mount is included too.

The tiny double-strap battery bag can be mounted almost anywhere and gives plenty of run time even without using the four power settings. As you’d expect for the power, there’s little distance throw – save up for the Lumen2200 if you want proper punch.
