Our review
Heavy and bulky, but with excellent tuning potential and huge power

This unit offers serious power in a highly tunable twin-headed setup, but it’s not the sleekest or lightest.

The three ultra-bright Cree XM-L U2 LEDs on each side mean a vast amount of raw power, with swappable 19-, 25- or 42-degree lenses that configure the split between long-reaching spot and super-wide flood.

The big handlebar remote switch can be set in default hi/lo mode or in a six-step ‘Expert’ mode, with a slow, eye-friendly transition between levels. The sheer amount of light meant we sometimes had to throttle the power back to stop distracting bounce-back on wet nights.

The large battery bag has enough power for proper epic rides, but looks more like the cell off a £100 light than a £500 set, and with the remote switch it’s no lightweight.

Also, the flip-over clamp for the O-ring mount can be awkward to undo, although it’s certainly secure once you’ve thrown the switch.
