Under hand tool attack it failed much quicker than we expected

The Zenith Link occupies the middle ground between a big tough chain and a cable lock offering hard 8mm links, but with an integral lock rather than a separate padlock. The weight of 1.4kg isn't outrageous and the chain links are fully covered to prevent the accidental scratching and chipping of your frame.

Before the first test we considered hammering away at the lock as our form of attack, but since the bolt croppers had been doing a sterling job of the cables, we thought we'd give them a go. Surprisingly, in just under 30 seconds we'd chopped one of the links in two, rendering the lock useless. It lasted longer than most cables at around the same price, but it's still only something we'd recommend in addition to your main lock.
