Offering one of the better components packages of the bunch, the Redline D600 29er also features some high-end trends, including a 2x9 drivetrain and color-matched rims, fork and grip hardware. Handling is predictable and stable, and the slightly longer chainstays give it a grounded feel. Up front, the 100mm RockShox Dart is one of the nicer fork options for this price range. WTB Prowler tires were a favorite among our testers. The cockpit (bar, stem and seatpost) is laid out nicely, although the stem could be a bit shorter for improved handling.

  • Standout features: Solid overall 29er package, no major letdowns in any area; really good suspension fork performance from RockShox Dart 29; 180mm front brake rotor
  • Pros: Good handlebar; great wheels and tires
  • Cons: Long stem; soft seat; cable actuated (rather than hydraulic) disc brakes; tall (hard) gearing
  • Weight: 13.97kg/30.8lb. Wheelset: 5.82kg/12.83lb
