Our review
These heavier shoes might not be so well suited to racing, but otherwise they're a good fit.

The WRX (Walkable Road Xchange) Granfondos blend the performance qualities of true road shoes with the practicality of a usable sole for off the saddle.

The stiff carbon unit has removable bolt-on rubber lugs that pad out around the cleat, making it recessed. Because of the extreme stiffness they're not for long treks, they simply make standing and short walks safer and easier.

The system works best with two-bolt cleats, as you need to remove the side rubber pads to place any three-bolt cleats, thus reducing the effectiveness of the design.

Three velcro straps hold the shoe in place and the heel cup fits snugly without slipping. They're heavier too, mostly due to the sole fixings, so won't be as suitable as some for racing. The upper is padded synthetic leather with breathable mesh inserts.

Weight: 708g/pr (size 39). Sizes: 36-42, half sizes 37.5-41.5. Colours: chrome/black. Compatible with 2 and 3-bolt cleats.
