This tiny upstart company’ from Los Angeles was founded because they couldn’t find any stylish cycling ‘knickers’ at a reasonable price. So they made their own, adding jeans, hoodies, caps and a few other urban riding essentials as they went along.
The styling is unapologetically messenger, and every detail – especially on the shorts – has been thought out meticulously by people who love to ride.
The only apology the company does make is that the prices might be a little higher than others due to their all-American ‘first world production’ policy. Sounds fair – and we’ve seen higher prices anyway…

Mens Cotton Shorts £65
With a tight, flat-fronted fit, these three-quarters are nevertheless cut and featured for comfort ‘on the bike or bar stool’. Articulated knees, seamless gussetted crotch, a medium-weight 97 percent cotton, three percent Lycra mix fabric, deep zippered pockets on the bum – who wants to ride with anything in their front pockets?
There’s even a handy, vertical mobile pocket on the back right-hand-side, which everyone who’s experienced trying to dig out a ringing phone that’s lying unflatteringly, uncomfortably and irretrievably at the bottom of a pocket will appreciate.
There is also a Women’s cotton short available with the same fabric, features and price – just a more lady-specific cut.
Mens regular leg Jeans £80
These ‘riding jeans’ share most of the same great features of the shorts – though we found the 34 size of the trousers was slightly less figure hugging than the three-quarters. Which is a good thing. These strides will look as good as any designer trews as you sip your flat white coffee in Soho.
Then, when you’re ready to move on, roll up your chain-side trouser leg to avoid your oily fixer’s chain, and you’ll also reveal the high-vis reflective strip on the inside at the back. Genius.
