Solid feeling upper is let down by a thick and flexible sole

Time have struck a good balance between ventilation and stiffness with their mix of mesh and synthetic leather in the RXT’s upper, considering the price point.

However, the aggressive styling can’t disguise a shoe whose sole is too flexible for the cut and thrust of the peloton yet thick enough to leave us feeling remote from the pedals when spinning.

The wide heel cup is in proportion with the rest of the shoe, making the Times best for wider, high-volume feet. The three Velcro straps used to tighten the shoe are well placed and robust enough to reinforce the sturdy feel of the upper.
