Carrera Edge helmet – in brief review

With 26 large vents, Carrera’s Edge is a cool helmet for sweaty riding. It’s perhaps not fly weight at 327g, but the price reflects this and it feels light enough to race in. 

The thin padded strips feel comfortable and minimise hot pressure points, and can be whipped out as one piece for washing, which is handy. 

The flexible ratchet system easily dials to tighten the helmet up at the back of your head and the chin straps are easy to adjust. 

The peak is integrated and tricky to pop out, but it’s not impossible.
