The Stoker is the little brother of the Bell Super, but loses some of that lid’s features to help drop the price by a third. The in-mould construction means the outer shell covers most of the EPS liner, though it’s left partially exposed to damage in places.
The 13 vents provide some seriously impressive airflow – especially considering the sheer amount of coverage on offer here – keeping your bonce cool on even the warmest days. The Coolmax padding wicks sweat away well, and is comfortable to boot.
Bell’s Speed Dial retention system gives three height settings to adjust the angle the helmet sits at on your head, as well as a sturdy, easy-to-use clicker wheel to adjust the fit. All the testers who tried the Stoker could dial in a setting that worked for them easily and quickly, and one that was comfortable too.
The peak isn’t adjustable but it sits high enough above your eyeline that it’s not in the way. In the rare event that you do spot it in view, because it’s black, it’s not distracting. Some have commented that it detracts from the Stoker’s overall look though.
