With shaped, hard pads on a Lycra sleeve, the Strata elbow pads are comfortable. They can take a big impact and the plastic coverings will slide on the ground, helping to keep them in place. But with just a sleeve holding them on, they could rotate in a harder crash.
For gravity riders, a pad with a more secure retention would be better, but all-day riders looking for protection without sacrificing comfort should check these out. They’ll give you extra confidence, even at rocky trail centres.
