The Altura Progels are shorter and have slightly less insulation than some other more expensive brands of waterproof gloves. This means they’re warm but not overly so – ideal for milder UK-style winters.
They feel a bit baggy, with what we feel is excess outer glove hanging round the waterproof liner. This makes controls slightly less than positive at times. We’re pleased to see a substantial nose wipe on the heel of the thumb though – perfect ﬂeecy material and positioning.
