Our review
Well constructed, warm and waterproof, but they're not cheap

The Fugus from Assos are some of the best-made gloves we've seen and the high standard of their finish is reflected in the price.

Even though they're not bulky, they provide a decent amount of warmth thanks to their three-layer design.

They're lined with soft fabric, which is insulating and comfortable. Assos have also included windproof and breathable membranes sandwiched between the outer layer and fabric liner. The exterior shell of each Fugu S7 feels tough and resilient to wear and tear.

The leather palms are soft and supple, and imprinted with a rubbery Assos logo for grip. There's padding over the 'heels' of the hands and the outer sections of the little fingers have reflective panels for signalling in traffic.

The long cuffs are closed with zips and fit well under jackets, and also over closer-fitting clothing such as arm warmers.
