Our review

A good-looking, reinforced glove that’s surprisingly light and airy.

Most Oakley gear is very well made, and the tough and stylish Hand Ratchet gloves are no exception. Look beyond the marketing spiel and you find trail gloves built for hard riding conditions.

There’s reinforcement left, right and centre, including padded Kevlar-reinforced knuckles, hardwearing Clarino palm and double contrast stitching throughout.

But all this burly padding doesn’t come at the expense of breathability – there’s a nice airiness thanks to a stretch mesh panel on the front.

A Velcro strap cinches the gloves in, while a terry towel snot wipe and grippy finger dots represent the attention to detail that Oakley is known for.

These aren’t the cheapest gloves around, but they wash well and look set to last.

Manufacturer's Description If you salivate at the sight of lethal gap jumps and blitz any berm that begs to be railed, you need gear developed for the pros. The HAR® chassis of our Hand Ratchet glove maintains high tensile strength without the burden of weight. Padded Kevlar® armors the knuckles while keeping them flexible, and the palm absorbs moisture with Clarino™ while offering the sure grip of durable HAR® reinforcement. Adjust the Velcro® straps for a perfect fit and let the high-friction finger zones keep your grasp rock solid.
