Everything you could wish for in a quality lightweight trail waterproof

Altura’s new Attack jacket offers a good balance of weight, protection and durability. The taped React Extreme three-layer fabric is hardwearing, windproof and breathes well, making it a good-value waterproof without being overly heavy.

This balance means it works well for British trail riding and isn’t too bulky for longer epic rides if you need to carry it. All the zips are sealed and there’s a guard on the front zip to save your neck on the high collar. If you get too warm, pit zips offer further ventilation and are accessible even with a rucksack on.

Adjustable cuffs and one-handed draw cords on the neck and hem keep any drafts or drips out. A map-sized pocket is located on the rear with two side and one breast pocket. The only thing missing is an iPod port. The cut is fitted but there’s enough room to layer below on colder days.
