Ground Effect Stormtrooper review

The Stormtrooper is designed for real wetness, with a slim, super long parka style cut that comes down over your arse and thighs. The hood's thin enough to wear under your helmet and tucks into the collar when not needed.

A bit sweaty when you work hard, but decent downpour protection for the price

The Stormtrooper is designed for real wetness, with a slim, super long parka style cut that comes down over your backside and thighs. The hood's thin enough to wear under your helmet and tucks into the collar when not needed.

The long sleeves have thumb loops to stop them riding up when you're stretched into the wind. The Hydro Foil fabric is averagely airy rather than super breathable though, and while pit zips help regulate core temperature, expect to sweat when you get some speed up.

Reflective detailing and a bright colourway (also available in blue) should keep you safe. The jacket boasts a sewn-in emergency puncture patch, and at 398g it's not too bulky or heavy to stow into a pocket/bumbag.
