Take two of the best materials Pearl Izumi have ever created and combine them to make an excellent all-round cold weather jacket.
The front is made from Zephrr, which is breathable and very windproof (and showerproof to an extent), and the rest of it is made from Kodiak Ultrasensor; a very efficient insulator that also transfers moisture away from the body well. It's a classic simple fit, with nothing fussy about it other than high attention to detail and quality finishing.
There are no vents other than the open venting under the shoulder blades, and it has two handy hand warmer pockets at the front. Reflective piping and patches in all the right places, two rear zipped pockets and elastic base hem and cuffs complete what is a very warm and functional jacket for those bitter non-rainy days.
