The Octane is a true lightweight that uses four-way stretch Optik-WxB material that’s windproof and waterproof with taped seams, while remaining extremely breathable.
It has a long back that can be poppered up, and a high front that’s perfect when you’re on the bike.
A neat touch on the inside of the arms is a thin mesh layer that keeps the fabric off the skin –this boosts comfort and helps keep any damp material off your arms.
We also like the Velcro patch at the bottom of the sealing zip, which helps when doing the zip up on the fly. The fit is perfect for racers and it packs easily in a back pocket.
The only downer on this is a shortage of pockets. There’s a mesh pocket inside, but it’s not very secure.
