Looks lovely and it's surprisingly practical, but it costs

What price style, eh? Well, £200 since you ask. The Rapha Fixed Jacket is pushing the limit of what most of us spend on single items of clothing, but despite the credit crunch, it has its appeal.

Designed to be stylish for both the pub and the casual ride, it does both with ease. The cotton/Lycra mix jacket is water-repellent and has windproof panelling so it’s a reasonably sensible riding option – both the back and arms get plenty of coverage.

Cordura fabric on the shoulders means your man-bag won’t wear it out and it has plenty of pockets plus routing for iPod cables. It’s black only, but does have some reflectivity.
