Rapha Stowaway review

One of the most waterproof jackets we've ever tested. The recent spate of torrential downpours showed just how well it performed.

Our review
Waterproof in the extreme, and packs down small. Quality kit - but at a price

One of the most waterproof jackets we've ever tested. A convenient spate of torrential downpours showed just how well it performed, and aside from water running off the helmet and down the back of the neck, we remained dry throughout a whole hour of horrible hammering rain, so those double taped shoulders really do work.

The price is typical Rapha, but as usual the quality is truly excellent. They've kept it plain and simple though, putting function of the basic firmly in front of pockets and features as seen on the Stowaway's bigger brother, the Softshell jacket. There is a vent at the back, which also allows access to your jersey pockets, the piping detail is reflective, and the cuffs are elasticated with smaller soft cuff inserts inside. The cut and fit is pure race, with nice long sleeves and a long drop tail.
