So handily, the minimalist Vaude Air windproof folds up into a tiny package that can easily ﬁt into a jersey pocket and be whipped on when the temperature drops or the heavens open. It won’t keep you completely dry but it’ll certainly keep you warm.
To avoid the material ﬂapping, a good women’s windproof will have a female-speciﬁc shape. The Air scores well on this but could do with slightly narrower sleeves.
