The Helium vest uses a polyester shell with Gore's ripstop Windstopper membrane across the front, which is incredibly effective at cutting out even the gustiest wind.
While relatively low in bulk, this is a particularly versatile gilet, featuring two pockets on the outside and two internal ones which are thin but deep. The cut is close, with a high collar and a stretch hem. Detailing includes reflective piping across the chest, back and tail, and a zipper garage, to stop the top of the zip rubbing on your chin. Best of all, there are hand slits across the large mesh back panel, so you can easily dig into your jersey pocket on the move.
