Great wind and shower protection and well-designed - but pricy

The Manotex (polyester/ polyurethane) fabric used on this gilet is the most waterproof here and it's highly wind-resistant too although at the expense of a little breathability.

The high collar comes with a soft fabric facing for comfort and a chin guard to prevent chafing, while an elasticated waist and fairly tight armholes help seal out the wind. The mesh back lets sweat escape when you build up a head of steam, but also allows cold air in on chilly days. You get a zipped side pocket and good Scotchlite reflectives on the back. >
