Adidas Trail Baggy review

We were expecting good things from a brand like Adidas, but it's a case of three stripes and out with these disappointing shorts. The big A uses a mesh liner sewn into the waistband which reduces versatility and the pad is flat foam with only a vague shape that's unbearable on the bike.

Lousy pad, too tight liner and badly fitting shell. Oh dear

The leg grippers would be tight round your arm, let alone a leg, so it's lucky the fabric and stitching are weak enough to be torn apart by hand five minutes into the first ride. The shell is strangely designed too, with an 'arse' front and back and an elastic waistband that looks like you're wearing them inside out. Stretch side and front (but not back) panels don't help the fit and they drag down and expose your back very quickly. The thigh pockets are positioned to rattle coins and create some painful, penile percussion too. We can't remember wearing a worse designed pair of shorts.
