Altura Ascent 3/4 women review

The Ascents feature a shorter leg length and lower rise to give them a slim, modern look and summery flavour. They go easily from road to street, and the seamless crotch panel allows comfortable riding with or without padded shorts. The outer shorts are cut quite trim, which is great for road use, but they're a little tight across the backside.

Shorts that work well off the bike with a slim, modern, summery look

The Ascents feature a shorter leg length and lower rise to give them a slim, modern look and summery flavour.

They go easily from road to street, and the seamless crotch panel allows comfortable riding with or without padded shorts. The outer shorts are cut quite trim, which is great for road use, but they're a little tight across the backside. They come with a promising-looking liner, but this is marred by leg openings that are unusually small for the size. Knees are articulated and there are elastic pull toggles at the leg openings for on-the-fly adjustments. Two side Velcro tabs cinch in the waist, though they can grab hold of jersey hems if not fastened properly. Other features include two hand pockets and two small side zip ones, which are ideal for coins. The construction material is very quick to dry and packs down light too.
