Well designed, understated trail shorts at a decent price

The Boulders aren’t the most hardcore shorts ever, but the fairly lightweight nylon fabric is still tough and the stretchy, seam-free crotch makes them comfortable in the saddle.

The cut is close, so there’s little flapping on the downhills, while sturdy Velcro tabs allow you to adjust the leg opening just below the knees.

A skinny webbing belt tightens up the waist, and the zipped side pockets provide useful stowage.

The removable inner short is attached by just a couple of fabric loops, but it’s highly breathable and the low-bulk insert provides basic padding.
