A simpler design than its stablemate, the Venturi three-quarter short, the Endura Superlite uses an elastic waistband and shock cord adjustment instead of a fly fastening.
One of the obvious benefits is the lower cost, but the downside is the fit isn’t as good. We like the stretch panels and the seam-free nature of the inside legs, which make for greater comfort and freedom of movement, but even though the extra-durable seat also has the benefit of keeping it more firmly on the saddle, it didn’t stop us then slipping around inside the short.
These were sweatier on longer rides than both the Gore and sister Endura shorts, and we found ourselves catching them on the saddle more, too. But, at almost half the price, they’ll keep filthy conditions at bay in a more than acceptable style.
