Gore Passion Lady review

The Passions feel fabulous on the bike. They are very lightweight, they dry in a flash and are less mtb-styled than the rest of the baggies.

As such, they’ll suit road riding and tours perfectly – however, opt for the dark grey or black colour for dirt disguising. The waistband is smooth and flat in the front and elasticated round the sides and rear. This keeps them securely in place, without gapping at the back when leaning forward on the bike. There is a middle seam through the crotch but it was never a problem with padded shorts, and the front and rear seams are placed specially to avoid rubbing between the legs. The removable inner shorts are a high quality lycra and mesh combo with a classic lady insert. There’s a zip and metal tab closure at the fly, though a more secure snap would have been better. There are two hand pockets on the sides and two zipped pockets on the front.
