Not specifically designed for cycling but great all-rounders, especially for travel

Another non-specifically bike short, the Duros feature a LIFA lining that's excellent at keeping you cool on a hot ride.

The outer is very tough and stain resistant (bike grease has come off nicely!), and it even blocks a bit of light rain and wind - though you'll feel a draught coming through the mesh pockets. At first the material felt thick, but it's actually quite light and the interior lining is not dense, lending a cool, unrestrictive feel on the bike. With an 8.5-inch long inseam and a straight cut, they have more 'hiking/travel' short looks, but the simplicity of shape and low bulk are good for pedalling too. The waist is not contoured for bike use, though the web belt that's included brings in the fabric to avoid any gapping at the rear when leaning forward. The Duros are a good choice for road travel.
