Very current colours, great fit, excellent features and good value – a winner

The Hope catalogue list this as a downhill short, but it is so much more versatile than they give it credit for.

Rather than going the route of using all-out downhill heavyweight nylon, Hope has constructed the Enduro short from a medium weight Teflon-coated polyester material.

This makes it a supremely useful winter cross-country short, particularly with the cut being a little on the short side for a full-on moto short. The Teflon coating helps keep water at bay and seems to have a beneficial effect on the saddle to shorts interface, giving it just the right amount of grip, in both wet and dry, yet allowing you to shift your weight around when singletracking, albeit with a little farting noise!

Techy features such as a stretch back panel, full length sown in mesh liner, and plastic ratchet waist cinches all add to the appeal.

There’s also a silicone gripper in the back of the waist band, to keep the shorts up, or your moto jersey tucked in.

There's a full range to gowith the shorts forr that matching ‘factory’ look.
