Howies Turnmill review

These Howies shorts are so new we got one of only two sample pairs. They're worth waiting for though. The relaxed 100 per cent cotton fit feels great from new, with a hidden drawstring waist to take up any slack.

Super comfy slouch shorts, but not ideal for use on wet days

These Howies shorts are so new we got one of only two sample pairs. They're worth waiting for though.

The relaxed 100 per cent cotton fit feels great from new, with a hidden drawstring waist to take up any slack. The more you wear them the more they soften to become your 'personal pair', and although the metal button fly isn't ideal in a bail situation, these are great on/off bike slouching shorts.

The Turnmills are reinforced across the back of the legs and on the yoke, fly and cargo pocket bases too, so they should last for years.

Just don't wear the shorts for long rides on wet days because the cotton stays heavy and soggy for hours and they'll rub you raw if they get grit in them.
