Expensive but hardworking downhill shorts

These are hard-wearing downhill shorts with stretch panels when you need them for maximum moves and mesh inserts for cooling.

Although the fabric has a firm durable handle, the shorts don’t feel overly heavy – you wouldn’t hit cross-country trails in them but turning the pedals won’t exhaust you either

They're lined throughout with mesh, which makes the outer smooth on the skin, and feature a high padded waistband with a super deep-grip inner band that works really well to keep everything in place.

We like the slouchy attitude of the Podiums a lot and on the bike they're comfortable and protective to wear. But there isn’t much room for waist adjustment and the zip, which has no backer, might well chafe.
