Designed for all-day riding, the Ace Shorts are made from a super-stretchy polyester material and have a full featured, button-in synthetic chamois. They sit on the knee of taller testers, and have a loose yet contoured cut that feels great in the saddle – not too long, and with no hindrance.
A comfortable waistband sits high at the rear, with a small pocket in the small of the back, and is secured using Velcro adjusters and a twin-popper fly. The combination of a great cut and stretchy material makes them incredibly comfy.
The material is both light and tough at the same time, and benefits from being fast-drying. Ventilation is also excellent – three ports and a zippered vent on each leg accompany additional side pockets for light items. Considering the tough downhill nature of most Troy Lee clothing, the Ace Shorts really are worthy of their name.
