Assos F1 Mille Short review

Although there are more expensive Assos bibs in the range, the Milles are hard to beat.

Although there are more expensive Assos bibs in the range, the Milles are hard to beat.

The chamois is simply perfect - it supports where you need it to, but is barely noticeable when you're riding, with a real softness at the front. Cut and panelling are also ideal, hugging the body without restricting it, though we'd recommend sizing up for the strap length, and even then it's a racing fit that's at its best in the saddle. There's a big mesh back for ventilation and no awkwardly placed seams. The Milles are relatively short in the leg, and the wide leg grippers are also amongst the best fitting. Our one minor gripe is the position of the hallowed (but scratchy) Assos labels - I had to remove the one at the lower back.
