Our review
Women’s shorts that really deliver – outstanding fit, feel and looks

The Vizio's eight-panel cut provides a good fit and doesn't make it look like you've got a nappy in your shorts at cafe stops.

These excellent women's shorts are completed with a soft-touch front waistband which makes the lack of bib-extensions unnoticeable.

Castelli only use sewn-in elastic at the back of the waistband, reducing irritation to the skin after hours of wear.

That combined with the flat lock seams, Ypro3 chamois (which is dense but not at all bulky) and silicone leg grippers all make for a very comfortable pair of shorts, whatever your riding position.

A light and comfortable ‘affinity Lycra’ is used in an ultrashort cut style – so short that when we opened the package we wondered if they might be underwear!

This is very European in style – where suntan lines are the bane of every cyclist and turn-ups are as commonplace as they were in the Eighties.

The ends of the legs can be turned up on hot days to reveal a red inner, and reflective strips to the side of the grippers are also visible when the legs are turned up.

They’re available only in black, and in sizes from S- L.
