Our review
The Carreras are expensive but the quality, quick-clearing lenses and adjustable fit are welcomed

Carrera’s Sport shades are available in a wide range of lens tints and frame colours. One size fits all with the C-TF02 glasses, thanks to a clever clicky four-position nosepiece (you can bend the tabs in too).

The wide lens offers great coverage and is cut pretty low, so there isn’t much room for crap to flick up underneath them. The individual lenses clip out really easily and, with a cutaway top section and anti-fog coating, they clear nicely too.

On even the choppiest trails, the C-TF02s clung in place well thanks to their water-loving Megrol rubber-clad nosepiece and arms. We also liked the fact that the low-cut lens means that you don’t get the annoying untinted strip of light in your eyeline.

Our test pair came with the polarised, lightly tinted lenses, which performed well on our murky, tree-lined test trails. A second clear set of lenses would have been a welcome addition, though, for really low light conditions, especially considering the price.

They’re pretty expensive – for this money, you start to get into serious eyewear territory. But the multi-position fitting will please the fussy or the wonky-nosed.
