Available in +1.5, +2.0 and +2.5 diopters, they’re also useful for roadside repairs, reading maps and using a mobile – anything where blur-free vision is an advantage – without the need to carry your reading specs.
The frames are Grilamid, while the polycarbonate lenses offer 100 per cent UVA, UVB and UVC protection. As with any bifocals it’s worth wearing these for a while to acclimatise yourself to them, but their quality and effectiveness surprised and impressed us.
