Pro-quality shades at a not too exorbitant price

Oakley and Rudy Project aren’t the only companies whose sunnies are seen in the pro peloton. German company Uvex produce a wide range of shades and its Crow Pros sit at the top.

Designed with some help from T-Mobile riders, the Crows boast a one-piece wraparound lens that resembles a more rounded Oakley M-Frame shape. The result is a good deal of peripheral vision and the lenses come with cutaways for added airflow.

As you’d expect from a German company, construction quality is excellent, the hinges strong and all materials tough. The red model we tested comes with extra silver and clear lenses; a black framed model comes with yellow, silver and clear lenses.

They weigh 26g and come with a hard case and soft pouch/lens wipe.
